MINIMUM WAGE WINS IN NJ; NO SURPRISES FOR LAME DUCK SESSION

Thanks to the support of union workers, Question2 on raising the minimum wage became a reality on Election Day.  Your efforts will help thousands of working people in New Jersey have the opportunity to better their lives because of higher pay.

There were very few changes in the New Jersey Senate and Assembly, but Vincent Prieto will replace Sheila Oliver as Assembly Speaker.

With the same people returning, there should be no surprises for the lame duck session.  Some bills being considered are: same sex marriage, shared services and gun control.  We will update you on any legislation that may affect NJ public employees' benefits in the days to come.
