Brick MUA Workers Fight For Fair Contract At Commissioner Meeting

Dozens of Local 32 members at the Brick Township Municipal Utilities Authority showed up in force at the monthly meeting of the Authority's Commissioners on August 29 to press their demands for a fair contract. Sticking points continue to be wages and health benefits. Two members, Senior Maintenance Mechanic Nick Lotito and Senior Laborer Michael Dejianne, spoke directly to the Commissioners in the public part of the meeting, asking for the ability to earn enough to support themselves and their families. Sporting stickers that proclaimed "Fair Contract Now," they sent the message to the Commissioners that they would be back.
